When Books📚Meet Basketball🏀

What happens when you mix a love for the game with a love for great stories? You get The Crossover. I had the absolute honor of chatting with basketball superstar Azzi Fudd to talk about life, hoops, and the books that inspire her. Check out our three-part interview series below!

Azzi Fudd Basketball Camp 2026

I’ve been attending the Azzi Fudd Basketball Camp since I was nine, so coming back for its 10th anniversary as a camp counselor was such a full-circle moment! Through Read With Val, I got to share my love of books with nearly 400 young athletes through reading discussions, basketball-themed book talks, and fun activities. Some campers even told me the book station was their favorite rotation, which absolutely made my day! Watch the video for an inside look at all the fun. 📚🏀
